Bringing Clean Air Science to Life: Fresh Air Science Fair Takes Home Big Prizes in Racine, Wisconsin

Bango honors victors of Racine elementary school’s Fresh Air Science Fair

The Fresh Air Science Fair was recently held at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine, Wisconsin. Fifth graders at the school participated in the nearly two-month long event, where they formed teams and submitted projects that brought clean air pollution concepts to life. Each entry was judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The award assembly for the fair took place on Wednesday, March 27th, with special guests Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, in attendance. During the assembly, winners were announced and prizes were awarded.

The first-place team members received an exciting prize package that included three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place winning teams also received prizes – Bucks merchandise for their efforts.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. This partnership allows students to explore important scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. A big congratulations to all of this year’s Science Fair winners!
