Expanding Cancer Services: Two New Oncologists Join UAMS and Baptist Health Locations

New Doctors, Manojna Konda, M.D., and Vivek Yadala, M.D., Join the UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Network

Two oncologists, Manojna Konda, M.D., and Vivek Yadala, M.D., have recently joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) with the goal of expanding UAMS cancer services to Baptist Health locations.

Konda, a graduate of UAMS College of Medicine, specializes in medical oncology and is currently treating patients at the UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Center at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology and is accepting new patients for appointments by calling (501) 202-4715.

Yadala is also triple board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology and practices at the UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Center at the Baptist Health Springhill Medical Plaza in North Little Rock. He completed his fellowship in hematology-oncology at UAMS and Marshall University School of Medicine. Graduating from the University Shri B.M Patil Medical College in Bijapur, India, Yadala is also accepting new patients and can be reached for appointments at (501) 214-2170.

Dr Ahmed Abuabdou, the chief medical officer for UAMS Medical Center and director of cancer services expressed excitement about the new additions to their team. With their expertise in medical oncology and infusion services, Konda and Yadala will help provide outstanding compassionate clinical care to patients with cancer or hematological conditions in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and surrounding areas.

The UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Center in Little Rock provides enhanced medical oncology and infusion services that give patients access to novel clinical trials and proton therapy. Meanwhile, the UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Center in North Little Rock offers medical oncology radiation oncology infusion services for cancer patients.

In conclusion, Konda’s specialization in medical oncology will help provide outstanding compassionate clinical care to patients with cancer or hematological conditions while Yadala’s experience will bring a new level of expertise to support this effort.
