Dean Dunnagan from the College of Health Sciences to be Recognized on April 10th

Joelle Powers, who has been the college’s senior associate dean for several years, has been appointed as the new dean of the College of Health Sciences. This recognition reception, taking place on Wednesday, April 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Stueckle Sky Center’s Bronco Zone, is in honor of Tim Dunnagan, who is stepping down as dean after 14 years of service.

During his tenure as the fifth dean of the college, significant growth and expansion have been achieved under Dunnagan’s leadership. The college has nearly doubled in size and launched three doctoral programs. Various programs have also been created and expanded, including online offerings, a genetic counseling path, and multiple certificates designed for working professionals. Additionally, an advisory group comprised of current and retired CEOs and leaders in the healthcare industry was established to provide feedback and guidance on course development and major selection.

Following his departure as dean, Dunnagan will take on the role of special assistant to Provost John Buckwalter, focusing on new academic programming in health sciences. To learn more about Dunnagan’s career and achievements, please visit the college’s website.
