Solar Eclipse Party in Phoenix: Witness the Rare Astronomical Event!

Free Eclipse Viewing Party at Phoenix’s Science Center

On Monday, April 8, North America will experience a total solar eclipse. In Phoenix, Arizona Science Center is hosting a free viewing party for this rare astronomical event. The eclipse occurs when the sun and moon cross paths and cast darkness onto the Earth.

The Science Center, located at 600 E. Washington St., downtown Phoenix, will start the viewing party at 9 a.m. on the day of the eclipse. Staff members will be present throughout the day to provide solar-based activities and education, telescopes for sky viewing, and engage attendees in learning about this unique event within our solar system.

It is crucial to wear solar eclipse glasses while watching the event to protect your eyes from potential sun damage. Some areas of Arizona and Southwest, including Texas, will experience a total solar eclipse. Additionally, NASA is launching three rockets during this time to study the effects on Earth’s atmosphere.
