Union-Endicott High School’s technology department honored with Program of Excellence Award

Union-Endicott High School’s technology department has been awarded the Program of Excellence Award by the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association. This recognition comes after being nominated by the Southern Tier Technology & Engineering Educators Association. The award was accepted by teachers Corey Munn, Mike Wichowski, and Tom Palazzo at the NYSTEA annual conference.

The department offers a variety of programs including welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry. Over the past few years, enrollment in these programs has experienced significant growth. The Program of Excellence Award is one of the highest honors given by the New York State Technology & Engineering Educators Association. As a result of this recognition, Union-Endicott High School will be representing New York State for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award.

Corey Munn, an engineering teacher at Union-Endicott High School expressed his gratitude for the award stating that it is a great honor to be recognized by his peers for the hard work put into the program. He further stated that this recognition acknowledges and celebrates their dedication to providing high-quality technology education. The efforts put into the program have not gone unnoticed and they are proud to receive this prestigious recognition.
